CHAPTER VI
Names of God
It is the belief of the Elders of this Tradition that there is only one God in the Universe -- but that this God is the Universe, all that it is and all that it is not. God is not only within everyone and everything, God is everyone and everything (as well as the nothings that would not exist without God).
It is our opinion that this way of looking at God was too much for the primitive mind to encompass, and that it is the primitive parts of our minds that enable us to work Magick. Therefore, our ancestors throughout the world developed many ways of looking at God by looking at male and female aspects, work aspects, nature astpects, etc., to gain more understanding of the vast oneness, the universality, of God. Thus, they gave God many names and gave God many features, many of which reflected mankind and many of which reflected the world and universe around us.
Since we are male and female, we tend to view God’s aspects as being male or female, and so we name God as Lord and as Lady. This chapter includes a few of those many names and aspects
